Owner Steve Hignight has been in business since 2004, and has been doing custom paint and body work dating back to his high school years. Steve started working in the paint and body business after graduating from high school and then Wyoming-Technical Institute. He and his staff have a wealth of knowledge about custom paint jobs stemming from his passion for all things engine-driven.

“In 2004 I started with about 350 square feet,” Steve said, “about the size of a two-car garage. Now we have grown to about 7,500 square feet.”

Solid Motorsports’ reputation as the top repair and custom paint jobs shop for boats and all marine vehicles in the entire North Texas region has grown along with the facility. People travel hundreds of miles to have Solid Motor Sports work on their marine craft, Steve said. Many come from as far as Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Tulsa and Oklahoma City, he added.
